Man sitting around boxes contemplating packing tips

Most people rent a storage unit that is much larger than they need. If you feel like you have more things than your unit can hold, don't fret. You may be able to get more items in your unit than you think. Just make sure you take care of your itmes.

Packing tip #1: choose totes over boxes- boxes are known to disentegrate. Totes are more sturdy and help fight against moisture.

Packing tip #2: Use shelving. Vertical space is often wasted.

Packing tip #3: put large items in first. You can fit that larger item in easier if you start with it.

Packing tip #4. Consider a mattress cover. They can get smelly and stained if left in storage.
